1. Pick a trade

Take time to explore the variety of trade programs available and see which ones match best with your interests and skills. We’ve made it easy to narrow down where you can be most successful.

2. start the application process

Every program works a little differently, so once you know which trades you’re most interested in, we’ll connect you with the appropriate training centers to begin the application process.

3. Interview/Documentation

If you meet all requirements for your chosen trade’s program, you’ll be invited for a formal interview. You’ll be asked to provide basic documentation, like a driver’s license and GED transcripts/high school diploma. You must also pass a drug test or pre-employment drug screening during the interview process.

4. Connect with local contractors

Passing your interview and making it through the selection process to join a union contractor is an exciting time — congratulations! You’ll be provided with the tools and resources you need to succeed during the length of your apprenticeship.

5. Get to work and get paid

You’ll work on some of the most notable projects in the Quad Cities area, learning from the most experienced and respected tradespeople in the industry. The best part? You’ll get paid to learn the skills of your craft, so you’ll start your career on the right path — with no college debt.
