IHMVCU has a strong 90-year history in our community. Today, it has grown to be the largest credit union in the Quad Cities area. With 13 locations in Illinois and Iowa — most recently Des Moines — their 450-person team serves more than 140,000 members. IHMVCU has used IMPACT agreements and reliable union tradesmen to construct six of its locations through the years.
If you’ve ever driven Moline’s River Drive or simply looked across the Mississippi from the western shore, you’ve seen the magnificent structure that is the IHMVCU Headquarters.
The eye-catching 92,000-square-foot, four-story structure was built in 18 months by skilled union tradesmen working under an IMPACT Construction Agreement. Its October 2019 opening addressed existing and anticipated needs for the member-owned financial cooperative long centered around providing a family culture for members and employees alike.
The new headquarters brought together more than 300 employees who previously worked in locations throughout the Quad Cities. The central location’s intention was to foster collaboration and enhance productivity.
IHMVCU received rich attention to detail from the highly-trained tradesmen guaranteed by the IMPACT Construction Agreement.
The IMPACT Agreement is a partnership between the building trades and contractors to provide a high quality product to owners and users. The relationship between labor, management, and owners helps ensure the primary goal of completion of a quality project in the most cost-efficient and timely basis.
You won’t need to look far to see our local IMPACT. An IMPACT Construction Agreement means skilled and well-trained union tradesmen working in collaboration with local union contractors to ensure quality projects built free of disruption and avoidable delays.
